Design Story
Returning to a familiar local beach in Japan where Yuki has visited many times over many years, she found herself drawn to a subject that she once found spooky and unattractive: barnacle shells. Collecting and picking up shells from the shore has always been a ritual for her, but this time, it sparked a shift in her perception of beauty. Using her signature ‘Bobbin’ style and techniques, she has beautifully translated these organic textures into her own unique version of barnacles.
